Shaping the Future, One Nanotech Breakthrough at a Time
Nanotechnology is considered one of the most important technologies of the 21st century, creating a revolution in all aspects of human life. The global community is actively pursuing the expansion of this technology in various dimensions. In line with the global trend, the Islamic Republic of Iran established the Iran Nanotechnology Innovation Council in 2001 to leverage the capabilities of nanotechnology.
In addition to promoting nanotechnology among the general public, school students, specialists, and innovators, it is necessary to define the role and position of each player in the country’s nanotechnology ecosystem—from universities and research centers to companies and commercial organizations. Holding nanotechnology festivals can not only address these two priorities but also serve the following objectives:
- Identifying research and industrial potentials
- Strengthening collaboration between industry and academia
- Introducing developed nanotechnologies into existing industries
- Facilitating the entry of nanotechnology companies into international markets
- Enhancing public awareness of nanotechnology
- Honoring the best nanotechnology products
